---C. E. Pinkston, aged 78, of Brashear, died Friday, June 7, at 3:30 p.m. at his home. He had been in poor health for several years.
---He was born July 12, 1894 in Adair County, the son of Andrew J. and Lucy Musgrove Pinkston.
---He was married to Neoma Ethel Krieger on November 29, 1906 and they lived on a farm in the Gibbs community until 21 years ago when they moved to Brashear.
---He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Lucile) Ross of La Plata and Mrs. Clifford (Neva) Clem of Kirksville; two sons, Paul Pinkston of LaFayette, Illinois and Charles LaVerne Pinkston of La Plata. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Gilbert Pinkston of Filer, Idaho and several nieces and nephews.
---He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert, and two sisters, Polly and Nora Pinkston.
---He attended the Mt. Tabor Baptist church southwest of Hurdland.
---Services were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home at Brashear with Elder Clyde O. Johnson of Green Castle officiating and burial was in the Brashear Cemetery.
