BRADFORD
Roy Gene Davis, aged 34, of Neodesha, Kan., formerly of Bradford (White County), died Tuesday. He was a carpenter. Survivors are a son, Robert Davis of Jonesboro; four daughters, Misses Reba, Regina, Rena and Rhonda Davis all of Jonesboro; his mother, Mrs Leva Smith of Searcy; four brothers, Robert and Harvey Davis both of Elkhart, Ind., Jim Davis of Denver, Colo. and Clarence Davis of Denmark and four sisters, Mrs Lorene Robinson of South Haven, Mich, Mrs Helen Gondeck of Michigan City, Indiana, Mrs Betty Erbe of Goodson, MO and Mrs Linda Nelson of Lawton, Okla. Funeral will be at 3:30 PM Friday at Daniel Funeral Home. Burial will be at Goad Cemetery near Denmark (White County).

The above is the "official" obituary of my brother, Roy. It doesn't even begin to tell you the measure of the husband, father, son and brother he was. He left this world way too soon for us, his family, but God had better plans for him. We are left with our memories and as with all families, some are not as good as others but we choose to focus on the good. His sense of humor, talents and love of life lives on in his children.
