Page 572, History of Union County, Ohio:
Isaac moved his family from Pennsylvania to Ohio in a wagon drawn by a team of oxen about 1829. Each one of them walked at least part of the way. For a time they lived in the second house north of Claiborne Cemetery, south of Richwood, Union Co., Ohio. In 1835, took possession of a farm about a mile south of Richwood.

Obituary: Isaac Gearhart was born in Penn. (wrong.....should be New Jersey), January 15, 1797) wrong should be 1799), moved to Ohio in the year 1829. He was united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1849 and was a consistent Christian until the day of his death which occurred November 28, 1879. During his last illness he often expressed a desire to depart and be with Christ and with friends gone before. The funeral services were conducted by the writer at the Methodist Presbyterian Church in Essex after which his remains were laid beside that of his companion to await the resurrection morning.
