Funeral for Charles H. Hopper, a resident of Portland since 1941, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Finley's Sunset Hills Chapel. Mr. Hopper, who was 73, died Monday in a Portland hospital.
Mr. Hopper was born in Butte, Mont., and spent time in Wyoming and Washington before moving to Portland. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific. He worked as a salesman for 23 years for Folgers Coffee and for 15 years for Kelley-Clark Inc. He retired in 1977.
He was a member of the Holladay Park Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include his wife, Helen E. Hopper of Portland; sons, John E. Hopper of Portland and Richard F. Hopper of Detroit, Mich.; and brother, John O. Hopper of Naples, Flor. He had three grandsons.
