Emma was the daughter of Clemens and Mary Budden. She married Louis Bernard Baumhover on January 29, 1908 in Mt. Carmel, Carroll Co., Ia. They were the parents of Helen (1909, Boell), Louis Wilford (1913), Albert John (1914), Andrew Martin (1916), Carl William (1917), Rosela A (1918), Fred (1920), Edna, Elmer (1923), Alice (1925, Starman), and Robert (1929).

Carroll Daily Times Herald - April 28, 1975 - Mrs Emma Baumhover, 84, of Carroll died at 1 pm Friday April 25 at St Anthony Regional Hospital. She had been in failing health for 6 months. Mass was at Mt Carmel & burial in the parish cemetery.

A daughter of Clemens & Mary Budden, she was born at Carroll May 21, 1890. As a child she moved with her parents to Mt Carmel & on Jan 28, 1809 was married to Louis Baumhover at Mt Carmel. They made their home on a farm 2 miles southeast of Mt Carmel.

Following her husbands death on Dec 30 1956, she remained on the farm until January 1975 when she moved to the Carroll Health Center. Mrs Baumhover is survived by 7 children including, Mrs Paul (Helen) Goell of Vail, Louis of Southerland, NE; Albert of Halbur; Andrew, Mrs Ted (Alice) Starman & Robert of Carroll.
