Delpha Jane Johnson, 58, passed away April 12 in the Madison County Hospital.
Born June 6, 1908 in Okla., her father and mother were Arthur Shrum and Della Keck Shrum.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 15, at 1:00 p.m. at Venus with Brother Melburn Samuels and Brother Harrison Collins officiating. She was a member of the Christian Union Church.
Survivors include her husband, Orville of Boston; two sons, Wayne of Lamar, Ark. and Earl of Boston; four daughters, Mrs. Juanita Collins and Mrs. Mildred Collins of Huntsville and Mrs. Lavern Lawson and Mrs. Madge Ledbetter of Wichita, Kansas; one brother, Lee Shrum of Elkins; one sisters, Mrs. Audrey Haught of Pettigrew and 18 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ben Collins, Dotson Collins, Otto Bennett, Jim Bennett, Squire Williams and Johnny Williams. Burial was in the Venus Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
