Family prayer was given by Lloyd Ferguson with prelude and postlude music by Lana Hall. Musicals were "Beyond the Sunset" by Dorothy Peltier and Daun White, "Whispering Hope" by the Winkler sisters and "These Hands" by Wayne Hall. Speakers were Bishop Harrison, Norman Fletcher and Dan Turner. Invocation was by Lee Turner and benediction was pronounced by Paul Bird.
Dedication of the final resting place in the Bluebell cemetery was by James Bird. Pallbearers were David Turner, George Anthony Gale, Delrie Gale, Kendall Mayhew, Ronald Gale, and Troy Gale. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Interment was under the direction of the Vernal Mortuary. Maeser 3rd Ward Relief Society was in charge of the floral tributes.
Mr. Gale was born March 22, 1904 in Vernal to Elmer Gale and Alice Delila Gardner. He married Dela DeMille (Divorced), second marriage, Edith Bird June 26, 1931. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple September 15, 1964. He was a carpenter and with the U.S. Forest Service. He was a member of the Maeser 3rd Ward and active at the Golden Age Center. He died December 28, 1978 in the Uintah County Hospital.
Survivors are widow of Vernal, four sons, three daughters; Mrs. Elmer (Loraine) Saxton, Mrs. Dale (Lois) Dahms, both of Salt Lake City: Clyde Gale, Rock Springs, Wyo,; Floyde Gale, Dutch John; Mrs. Dan (Phyllis) Turner, Elwayne Gale, and Barry Gale, all of Vernal; 22 grandchildren and 16 Great-grandchildren.
