BOOKER THOMAS ERVIN
Funeral services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, Sulphur, Friday, August 15, for Booker Thomas Ervin, 67, who died Aug. 9, at Oklahoma City. Rev. Thedus Brown and Rev. Frank Rushing will officiate. Interment will be in James Cemetery, south of Davis. Arrangements are by McAffrey Funeral Home.
Born Dec. 16, 1912 at Davis, he was a retired general construction worker and had lived in Davis and Sulphur all of his life. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include eight sons, Cleve, Tommy K., Earl C. and Billy Ray of Sulphur, Charles G. of Davis, Booker T. jr., and Laverne, of Dansville, Ill., and Ralph C., Haggerstown, Md.; one daughter, Clara Pettis, Davis, 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. One son, Arvis, preceded him in death in 1939.
Pallbearers will be Earl C. Ervin, Billy Ray Ervin, Cleve Ervin, Laverne Ervin, Booker Ervin, Ralph Ervin, Curtis Hamilton, and David Green.
