"Henry D. Bounds Of Plain Dealing Died Last Friday"
Funeral services for Henry D. Bounds, 93, a resident here for more than 80 years, who died on Friday of last week in a Shreveport Hospital, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, at the Rocky Mount Presbyterian Church.Officiating at the rites were Rev. L.A. Carrington and Rev. Reule Allen.
Interment was in the Rocky Mount Cemetery under direction of the Plain Dealing Funeral Home.
Mr. Bounds was born in Barbour Co. Ala., and as a boy of four came by wagon train with the Bounds and McKinney families overland to Rocky Mount.
Survivors are five sons: Belve Bounds of Long Beach, Calif., Tom Bounds of Rocky Mount, Ben F. Bounds of Bossier City, Henry D. Bounds Jr. & Jim H. Bounds both of Plain Dealing. Six daughters: Mrs. J.W. (Clara) Bass of Rocky Mount, Mrs. L.L. (Mary) Cook & Mrs. W.B. (Ita Hazel) Compton,both of Shreveport; Mrs. Lawrence (Bertha) Kirkland of Ontario, Calif.;Mrs. Tom E. (Nettie Lou) Cason of Plain Dealing, and Mrs. Lee (Cora)Alderman of Ranger, Texas. One brother, George A. Bounds of Rocky Mount,and a number of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren & Great Great Grandchildren.
