1907 Dunn County News
Mrs. Julia Brown, a resident of Dunn County for 37 years, died August 18 of old age at the home of her son, August Brown, in Red Cedar. She had been in feeble health of some time.
Mrs. Brown was born at Elchfier, Germany, March 3, 1834 and was married to Michael Brown in 1850. They came to this country in 1866 and lived four years in New York State. In 1870 they came to Dunn County and settled on a homestead in Red Cedar. Her husband died in 1885. Four years ago Mrs. Brown moved to Menomonie and about three months ago she returned to the old home where she passed away.
Four sons and two daughters survive- August of Red Cedar, Louis, Herman and Ernest of Menomonie, Mrs. Tena Kriesel of Rhinelander and Mrs. Emma Ziehl, Cloquet, Minn. Also a brother, G. Kaatz, of Red Cedar.
