EMPORIA --- Erma Charlyne Fowler Rich, 77, Emporia, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at her home.

Mrs. Rich worked for Woolsworth in Emporia for 18 years.

She was born April 30, 1924, in Emporia, the daughter of Charles Fowler and Esther Maria Thornton. She graduated from Emporia High School and was a lifelong Emporia resident.

She married Leo F. Bolz in August 1946. He preceded her in death. She married Dale Rich on Jan. 1, 1959. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Larry Rich, Hartford; two daughters, Charlene F. Bolz, Garnett, and Vicki S. Jackson, Emporia; two sisters, Marie Kelly and Wanda Gibbs, both of Emporia; and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Rich also was preceded in death by a grandson, Brent A. Schneider.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Charter Funeral/Carlson Chapel in Emporia.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church or Garnett Big Brothers/Big Sisters and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
