Aaron Torrence and his wife Susannah made their home in that part of York which later became Franklin County, where their four sons were born. In or about 1768 they were living in the Redstone Settlement in Fayette County. Here Susannah (Finley) Torrence died in 1772 and is believed to have been buried in the graveyard of Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church.
