Peter Lessig lived in Monroe County all his life. During the Civil War he volunteered for service in the medical unit with General Meade's Headquarters. In 1916 he was living in Monroe Co., PA. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sarah) Nicholls, at 528 E. North Street in Bethlehem and was buried in Lakeview Cemetery. (Obit in newspaper Thursday, 16 April 1925)
