Hinds Hugh Briggs, 58 of Wilcox, Ariz., a former resident of Lazbuddie, died about 8 p.m. Tuesday in Wilcox.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Lazbuddie Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Davidson. Methodist minister form Herford, officiating. Burial in Bailey County Memorial Park will be directed by Singleton Funeral home.
Briggs was born June 19, 1909, in Tye and farmed in the Lazbuddie community before moving to Arizona. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; Three sons, Ronald, Don, and Joe Briggs, all of Wilcox, Ariz.; His mother, Mrs. Sarah Briggs of Lubbock; a sister, Mrs. S. J. Young of Plainview; six brothers, W.C. Briggs of Adrian, Alton Briggs of Wilcox, John W. and B.W. Briggs, both of Alturas, Calif., and Jeff and Austin Briggs, both of Denver, and seven grandchildren.
