Randall "Randy", age 39, of rural Gays Mills, passed away on Monday as a result of a tree cutting accident. He was born the son of William Jr. & Mary (Groom) Lund. He attended Haney Elementary School and graduated from North Crawford High School in 1978 and then attended Richland Center Technical College. He married Gloria Stuckey on Nov. 29, 1980, and they later divorced. Randy worked for Maple Ridge creamery and then for Iverson Construction for five years until he was involved in a life changing car accident. Although having to learn to walk, read and write for a second time in his life, Randy still embraced life and never lost his wit and sense of humor. Everyone who knew Randy knew he had a heart of gold. He was kind, generous, sincere and always thought of others. He enjoyed his family and especially cherished his two granddaughters, Genevieve and Lizzy, who equally cherished their Grandpa. He is survived by his three daughters, Renee (Travis) Helin of Mount Horeb, WI, Mandy (Timothy) VanNatta and Heather Rice and two grandchildren, Genevieve and Elizabeth Helin; his mother, Mary Lund of Prairie du Chien, WI; and four brothers, Greg (Mary Jane) of Boscobel, WI, Glen of Soldiers Grove, Ed (Maggie) of Gays Mills, WI, and Joe (Bernice) of Soldiers Grove, WI and their families. He was preceded in death by his father, William Jr.; a brother, Gene; and his paternal and maternal grandparents. Services were held at the funeral home on Saturday. Dommersnaes-Bertram Family Funeral Home, Gays Mill assisted with arrangements.
