Davett born 21 Feb. 1901, in Denton County, Tx. and was the daughter of Jerry William and Mary Constance Cantrell Wilson. She married Charlie Fates on September 12, 1925 at Novice, Tx. and was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Church of Silver Valley home Deminstration Club.
Surviviors: husband, for daughters, Lucille DaY of Crews, Mary Frances Jones of Cedar Creek Lake, Charlene Cole of Gouldbusk, and Minnie Lorene Dismuke of Odessa, Three sons, Jimmie Jesse & Raymond Ray Bates of Dallas, and Alvin Asa Bates of Abilene, one brother, Jerry Wilson of Novice, one sister, Lois Bennett of Weatherford, 14 grand children, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a son, David Lee Bates , a grand daughter, and a great grandson.
Pallbearers: Eddie Day, Mauty Bates, Ricky Bates, Brent Bates, Clayburt Jones, and Charlie Ray Dismuke.
