Funeral services were conducted here Monday for Mrs. Amanda Hardcastle Petty who died in Sierra Blanco, Friday after a long illness. Mrs. Petty had lived here 33 years and was visiting her daughters, Mrs. J. R. Love at the time of her death. She leaves besides her husband, six daughters; Mrs. G. W. Sutherland of Yslets, Mrs. J. R. Love of Sierra Blanco, Mrs. Jno. Sing and Mrs. R. B. Keene of San Antonio, Mrs. T. R. Fielder and Mrs. W. G. Rankin of this city and four sons; Dewey, Lester, Henry and Curtis all of Carrizo Springs. Mrs. Petty was 63 years old and born in Milam county.
