Samuel Headlee, a prominent farmer and highly respected citizen of Rudolph Run, near Brocks, this county, died March 19, 1895, aged 66 years, 10 months, 19 days, of heart failure. His death was very sudden and unexpected by his friends and citizens. He had been a faithful member of the M. E. church, having been converted at the age of 14 and proved faithful until the end. His funeral was conducted by Rev. Harry Household on Friday at Valley Chapel. The text was taken from St. Matthew, Chapter 24, verse 44, after which the remains were taken to the old burial ground and laid to rest till the resurrection. "Oh grave where is thy victory; Oh death where is thy sting."
