Funeral services for Fay Edwin Buckingham, 85, of Nebraska City, Nebraska, were held September 25 at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. The Rev. Lauris Meek officiated, with burial in Glenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Buckingham passed away September 22, 1989, in Nebraska City.
He was born January 28, 1904, in Bartlett, the son of Andrew and Minerva Wolf Buckingham. He married Viola Rickabaugh on December 7, 1932, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Fay was a long-time farmer in the Pacific Junction area until his retirement in 1978, when he and his wife moved to Nebraska City. Fay loved the outdoors, machinery, automobiles and the farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife Viola of Nebraska City; three nephews and one niece.
Joan Dashner was the organist at the funeral service. Pallbearers were Mark Buckingham, Stephen Buckingham, James Rickabaugh, Roger Reeves, Sherrill Dashner and Bruce Jackson. Honorary pallbearers were Eugene Buckingham, Leighton McCrary, Pearl Hockabout, Harold Harless, Harold Wilkins and Bud Hockabout.
Memorials are suggested to the Bartlett Christian Church.
