JOSEPH EDGAR FOWLER SR., 67, of 1023 West Indian Trail, Louisville, died Oct. 7 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Mr. Fowler was a native of Fredericktown and a retired employee of Rexnard in Louisville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lottie Phillips Fowler. Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy M. Wethington Fowler; one son, Joseph E. Fowler Jr. of Louisville; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Brown and Mrs. Dorothy Metten of Louisville; two brothers, Robert E. "Red" Fowler of Florida and Herman F. Fowler of Louisville; one granddaughter. Funeral services were conducted at 9:20 a.m. Oct. 9 at Russman and Son Funeral Home in Louisville. A funeral Mass was conducted at 11 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church in Springfield. Burial was in Old St. Rose Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert, Herman, Paul Lee and Leon Fowler, Mickey and Hilary Brown.
