Marty Jim (Cookie) Hill, born in Dewey, OK to Joe and Jane Hill Oct. 1, 1935, died October 25, 2005, of a heart attack. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law. Marty is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann of 45 years; son, Mark, and wife Beverly of Marshall, OK; Michael and wife Tina, of Oklahoma City, Vernon, and wife Susan of Edmond; daughter, Melissa Hamon of Jones; grandchildren, Mark James Hill, Jr., Nathan, Elijah, and Benjaman Hamon, all of Jones; sister, Mary Haney and Lahwanna Jan Spicer of Shawnee; and two great-grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends. Marty was a graduate of Northeast High school in OKC, class of 1953. After serving 17 years in the U.S. Air Force, he was a professional Flight Engineer for several airlines. Service were held Saturday, Oct. 29, at Baggerley in Edmond, and buried in Memorial Park cemetery. Marty was an organ donor and after his death bone, bone marrow and skin was harvested for use to help over a dozen persons in fighting their injuries and disease.
