Nancy was the daughter of George Fox and wife unknown.

She was married prior to becoming the wife of Jacob Wendell. She was married to John Gould, of London England. there are two theories as to his demise. One that he perished in a ship fire while returning to England for some sort of inheritance. The most probable is that he dropped dead of a heart attack at the age ofj about 25 in December 1821, leaving Nancy with two small children, George Anthony who was somewhere around 2 years old and Nancy Jane, who was born just before or directly after the death of John Gould.

Nancy is buried on one side or the other of Jacob Wendell and his first wife Magdelena Snyder on the other side. Apparently their tombstones have been lost, but in the 1950 or 1950's when a family member went there there was some type of stone for both.
In 1849 or 1850 (early in the year) it became apparent that Nancy was unable to take care of herself, much less Jacob. Sadly it was decided by their children that to be able for them to both get proper care they would have to be separated. Nancy's children, Nelsonand Lucina took her along with young 10 year old Imilda Leona to Little Falls, where a house was rented close to her step-daughter Sarah (Wendell) Wright, whom she had raised. It was here that she passed away.
