Mrs. Smith, 75, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at King’s Daughters Medical Center.
She was born in Jayess on Oct. 3, 1925,to the late John and Ella Lambert Ard.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Brookway Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Carol Nolan Smith Sr.; brothers, Walter Ard, Carlos Ard and J.D. Ard, all of Jayess; and sisters, Bama Ard of Jayess, Ina Varnado of Biloxi and Bertha McKinney of Brookhaven.
Survivors are her sons, Carol Nolan Smith Jr. of Brookhaven and Timothy D. Smith of Columbia, S.C.; daughter, Cherri S. Case of Brookhaven; sister, Daisy McGee of Brookhaven; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
