WELLSVILLE - Mae W. Bloor of Broadway Street, Wellsville, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Bloor was born in East Liverpool, Jan. 28, 1929, daughter of the late William and Ethel Pringle Cisco and reared by Frank and Thelma Reed. She attended East Liverpool schools and began working at the former Louthan Manufacturing at age 16. She later worked at Bloor's Drug Store, then Marty's Pharmacy, retiring in the late 1990s.
A member of the Boyce United Methodist Church and its Homebuilders' Class, Mae was known for her cheery smile and pleasing personality. Her strong work ethic served her well during some difficult times.
On Aug. 1, 1966, she married Leonard Bloor, who died March 27, 1984. Her family includes two sons, Robert W. Skolny of Chester and Shawn L. Bloor and his wife, Cassie, of Wellsville.
There are four grandchildren: Vincent R. Skolny and his wife, Jodi, of Weirton, Chad A. Skolny and his wife, Kim, of Pittsburgh, Eric Anthony Skolny of Morgantown, W.Va., and Seth Bloor of Wellsville, along with four great-grandchildren: Joshua, Rebecca, Cloie and Jennifer Skolny.
Other family members include four stepchildren: Rob Bloor, Randy Bloor and Rodger Bloor of Cleveland and Denise Seevers and her husband, Craig, of East Liverpool. Step-grandchildren include: Marie Keller of Wellsville, Aiden Bloor, Nolan Bloor, Eric Bloor and Matt Bloor all of Eastlake, Ohio, Alyshia and Kayla Seevers of East Liverpool.
A sister, Sherry Young, and her husband, Bud, of California, also survives.
Services are planned for 11 a.m. Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may call Thursday at the funeral home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
