We have been searching for documentation of Silas' father for many years. There is a family bible indicating that Ezekiel had a son Silas and another son Ezekiel. The family bible indicates that his son Silas died in 1849. Our Silas here was alive in the 1860 census living with his grandson Cuyler. I hope to stop the trend of people incorrectly putting the wrong father down. Thank you.

A contributor to the confusion is that there were two Silas' in Georgia. Silas Hilliard and Silas Hillard. I believe that is why there are so many questions about who Silas Hilliard's parents are and information that doesn't seem to match up correctly.
