Loving and devoted mother and grandmother Mary was born August 21, 1925, in Los Angeles, California to James and Louise Reynolds. Mary graduated from Manual Arts High School in 1944, and Pasadena Junior College in 1946. She married James B. Carmichael in 1948 and had two sons, Charles and James. In 1954, the family moved to North San Diego County where Mary established a successful career as a Senior Escrow Officer, spanning 43 years. She was well-respected by her peers and had many loyal customers. Mary was very generous with her time and gave generously to local charities. In 2001, Mary was forced into retirement with several serious health issues, and in December 2009, she passed away peacefully in her sleep at home. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her two grand-daughters, Rebekah Carmichael and Chelsea Smith Carmichael and her son James. A graveside service is planned on Monday, February 1, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 2460 Glen Ridge Road, Escondido, CA 92027.
