MONROE CITY- Odis Burke, 74, died at this home in Monroe City, at 6 a.m. Sunday. A lifelong resident of Knox County, he was a retired farmer. He was the son of William and Ellen Wise Burke, and was a elder in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Delta Collins Burke; a son, Gerald Burke, a daughter, Lee Ann Burke at home; stepdaughter, Mrs. Carolyn Jones, Vincennes; a brother, John Burke, Monroe City; and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Elder, Monroe City, Mrs. Denise Stafford, Monroe City and Mrs. Helen Cornelison, Terre Haute, There are three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. James W. Elder officiated, and burial was in the Walnut Grove cemetery.
