Services for Mrs. Fannie Bryan were held in the First Baptist Church. She came to Young County in 1876 with her parents. The family settled in the Salem Bend Community where she made her home for 15 years. In the Salem Bend Community, she was converted and united with the Salem Bend Baptist Church and lived a consecrated life. She moved to the Indian Mound Community in 1891 where she married A.J. Bryan in 1894. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Bryan was known for her memory being able to recall early-day events and dates. Survivors include one daughter; three sons; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother; five sisters.
