In Memory of Jane (Park) Marquis consort of Rev. Thomas Marquis who departed this life January 9, 1841 in the 91st year of her age. (Her husband, the Rev. Thomas Marquis, the "silver tongued orator" was the second pastor of the Cross Creek Presbyterian Church, serving from 1794 to 1825. He died at the home of his son-in-law, the Rev. Joseph Stevenson at Bellefontaine, Ohio and is buried there in the City Cemetery.
