Services for Alford Cook, 82, were officiated by Rev. Edgar Jones.
Cook had lived in the Bryson and Graham area most of his life. He was a retired truck driver and member of the First Baptist Church.
Ched Cook met Mrs. Irene Baker and they both decided they would never re-marry. In three months from the time they met, they were married on 17 April 1971 at Graham, Texas. Irene said "Ched Cook was the greatest man in the world." They were married 29 years and he preceded her in death.
Survivors: wife - Irene Cook of Graham; daughter - Linda Brown of Arlington; two sisters - Tay Shepard of Stephenville and Stella Mahaney of Graham; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his step-son - Ray Butler; five brothers - Lee Cook, Doc Cook, Troy Cook, Charlie Cook, Lonnie Cook; sister - Jean Landry.
