He enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served in the 693 FA Bn. during WWII. His tour of duty took him through Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe.
When he returned from service he married Elzada Sue Randall on June 14th, 1948 in Vernon TX. The couple made their home in Altus OK where he was a carpenter and later a Civil Service Employee for Altus Air Force Base which he retired from in 1985. The couple then moved to Del City which was his home until his passing.
Harrell is survived by his wife Elzada of the home, 2 daughters, Cynthia Robson and her husband Llyod of Tulsa OK, Valeria Carr of Del City, 2 grandchildren, Todd and Amanda Cheaney of Tulsa OK. A sister Pearlenne Duke of Warren OK and brother Jimmy Neel of Marysville, WA.
Graveside Services will be conducted by Ford Funeral Service at 3pm Friday, January 22, 2010.
