Fayette Clark was born 4 July 1825 in Shepard Settlement, Onondaga, NY, the Son of Chester Clark and Laura Chatfield. He attended the Shepard Settlement school. Fayette married Percilla Spaulding 26 February 1860 in Auburn, Cayuga County, NY. They had three children. Nora, Arthur and Gaylord. Fayette and family lived on lot number 6 in Marcellus. He had six acres of land. Sometime after 1870, Fayette moved his family to Orleans, Ionia, Michigan. He was listed in the in 1880 US Census for Orleans Township, Ionia, MI p. 23. He was a farmer.

Fayette was the executor of his Father's will.

Fayette Clark died 5 April 1878 in Orleans, Michigan.
