"Mrs. Elizabeth Baker, 85, of 237 North Eighth, Kansas City, Kansas, died yesterday at the Bethany hospital after an illness of two and one-half years. She was a lifelong resident of Wyandotte County. Mrs. Baker was a member of the Salvation Army church. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Cora Mayhew of the home and Mrs. Ruby Whiles of 905 Seminary, Kansas City, Kansas; two sons, James Baker and Thomas Baker, both of 1239 Lawndale; a sister, Mrs. Ada Crandall of 4432 East Eleventh; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday at the Fulton-Nickel chapel; burial in Woodlawn Cemetery." The Kansas City Star, March 13, 1966
