She was born in Charleston, March 10, 1927, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse E. Fisk, who survive. Also surviving is her husband, Alfred Ashby.
Mrs. Ashby was a resident of Mississippi County her entire life until moving to Cape Girardeau 11 years ago. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church of Charleston.
Other survivors include three sons, Terry, Bruce and Brad; four brothers, Freeman Fisk, James Fisk, Charles Fisk and the Rev. Jerry Fisk; three sisters, Mrs. Abe Hornback, Mrs. Ernest Hornback and Mrs. Eugene Merritt.
Funeral services will be conducted at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston Saturday. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
