Middle name Elizabeth (1861) or Ellen (1908). Wife of Lord Mortimer Ackert. Mother of Lord Mortimer Ackert, Jr., Belker W. Ackert, Gertrude Josephine Ackert (first Mrs. Henry Brown, then Mrs. David N. Molner), Andrew P. Ackert, Sarah Eliza Ackert (Mrs. Murphy), Peter J. Ackert, and three other children who died young (Sarah, Gertrude, Sadie?).

"Tombstone Inscriptions" gives her birthdate as 1827, but that might be a misreading of 1829. Various other sources give a most probable birthdate as July 1829, or circa 1830. She was said to have been born in Kinderhook (Columbia Co.), or Warren County, New York, the daughter of William and Maria Van Valkenburg (death certificate). She, Lord, and their family lived many years (from about 1860 on) as farmers in Peru, Massachusetts. She died at her residence in Peru, age 81, after a long illness of Brights Disease, "valvular heart," and a fractured hip caused by an earlier fall. She was buried 23 November 1908.

"Hi, Thanks for entering Maria VV's grave info.
I think that Maria was the daughter of Maria Fiero and William Valkenburg of Katsbaan, Ulster County, NY. This is a guess. More research is needed."
