Clinton, Iowa - Services for John V. McGinty, 84, former resident of the Mt. Alverno Home, will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church. There will be a 9 a.m. prayer service at Delany Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
He died Thursday at Mercy Hospital after an extended illness.
He was retired from Industry Hardware Manufacturing Co. of Illinois.
He married Francie Catherine Woods. She died in 1974.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Marshall, of California; a sister, Mrs. William (Margaret) Ruddy, Clinton, and one brother."
