Born Oct. 6, 1917, in Jackson County, Ky., she was the daughter of Riley and Victoria Lakes Rose, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Cincinnati, where she had made her residence for several years. While living in Cincinnati she had worked at Shillito's Department Store for many years. She had participated in a bowling league for many years, enjoyed arts and crafts, and being with friends and family. She was also known as an excellent seamstress.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William "Billy Ray" and Vicki Baker of Montgomery, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Rose of Connersville; two sons-in-law, Emery Rose of Connersville and Bill Amyx of Perry, Ga., with whom she had made her home for the past nine years; and 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Cunningham; two daughters, Shirley L. Amyx and La Vearne Rose; a son, Earles Rose; a brother, Bill Rose; a sister, Jewell McHenry; and a grandson, Thomas Rose.
Funeral services will be held at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home on Monday at noon with Rev. Thomas M. Hall of Harvest Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
