Vickie Jo Thornberry McIntosh, 52, of Connersville, passed away on Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born in Rushville, Ind., on July 11, 1957, she is the daughter of Charles E. "Dink" and Betty Vail Thornberry of Connersville.

She was raised in Connersville, but had also lived in Houston and Indianapolis. She is a 1975 graduate of Connersville Sr. High School and a member of the Moose Lodge. She worked in bookkeeping for several firms in Indianapolis and Houston and also did bookkeeping and accounting for the VFW. She enjoyed going to the beach and was always doing nice things for others.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Charles "Chuck" Thornberry, Jr., of Connersville, a sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Chris Hurst of Indianapolis, a nephew, Lenny Ervin, four nieces, Tiffany Richardson, Jennifer McCullum, Cora McIntyre and Cara Thornberry, three great nephews, Tristan and Travis McIntyre and Noah McCullum, two great nieces, Kendra and Harlie Richardson, and a special friend, Jim Ogle.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Martha Williams-Jordan of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Grove Cemetery.
