Mrs Margaret Christine Eaves Dowling, 81, of Bamberg, wife of the late Decania Dowling, who was in the automobile business in Charlotte and also lived in Columbia for some years, died Wednesday in Columbia Hospital.
Mrs Dowling was born in Bamberg, a daughter of the late Augustus Vastine and Margaret Matheson Eaves.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs Marvin S Faires of Bamberg; a son, Havelock E Dowling of Bamberg; a brother, Augustus J Eaves of Rye, NY, and three grandchildren, Mary Ellen Dowling, Decania Dowling 3rd, and Norman E Dowling of Orangeburg.
Funeral services will be held in the Bamberg Presbyterian Church at 4 pm Thursday. Interment will be in Restland Cemetery.
