Opal May Blair, a resident of Longview, Texas, and formerly of Goodwine, Il., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010.

She was born March 22, 1923 in Virginia to Frances Kay and Alpha Compton Elliott. On March 13, 1940, she married W.M. Blair (Butch) in Virginia. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, William M. Blair Jr. (Bill) and wife, Katherine, of Longview, Texas; her two daughters, Laura Ann Miller of Gibson City, Il. and Joyce Blair Brock and husband, John, of East Jordan, Michigan; three grandsons, Edwin A. Miller of Gibson City, Il., Eric J. Brock (Yvette) of Bolingbrook, Il. and William M. Blair III of Longview, Texas; two granddaughters, Karen Brock Reed (Steven) of Tinley Park, Il. and Wendy Blair Markowitz (James) of Longview, Texas; five great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; two brothers, Gordon L. Elliott (Marie) and A. Jack Elliott (Geraldine) of Watseka Il.; three sisters, Mary M. Hill and L. Faye Elliott of Watseka Il. and Joanne R. Rogers (William) of Terre Haute, Indiana and two sisters-in-laws, Norma Elliott and Joan Elliott.

She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, James E. Miller; her parents; four brothers, Cecil A. Elliott, James M. Elliott, Frances K. Elliott Jr. and Scott C. Elliott; one brother-in-law, Lester Hill and two sisters-in-law, Elsie Elliott and Ruth Elliott.
