KENTON - James M. Danner, 66, Rt. 2, Kenton, died of a heart attack at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at his residence. He had been ill one day.
Born in Paulding County, Aug. 7, 1894, he was the son of Tobia and Ora Ann (Peterson) Danner. He was a retired farmer who had lived in Hardin County most of his life. He married Addie Miller Oct. 24, 1924, in Kenton. She is deceased.
Survivors include one son, James Danner, Jr. of Rt. 4, Kenton; nine daughters, Mrs. Charles (Jean) Fleece of Rt. 1, Kenton; Mrs. William (Doris) Pruitt of Covina, Calif.; Mrs. Gerald (Pauline) Gobrect of Kenton; Mrs. Dale (Martha) Overly of Marysville; Mrs. Fred (Delta) Miller of Williamstown; Mrs. Arlo (Rose) McKinley of Kenton; Mrs. Richard (Mary) Birdon of La Rue; Mrs. Elmer (Ruth) Wilson of Hamilton, and Deanna Danner, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Scullin of Roundhead and Mrs. Ilo Reynolds of Bellefontaine. Three brothers and one sister are deceased.
He was a member of the Fairview Church near Kenton and was on the official board and a trustee of Cessna township. He was a veteran of World War I.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Myrl D. Hull Funeral Home, Kenton, with Rev. Donald Catrone officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery.
