JOSEPH JEFFERSON RAY, 92, formerly of Payneville, died Wednesday at Summerfield Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a retired employee of Olin Corp. in Brandenburg, a former Meade County magistrate and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Rhodelia. Survivors: his wife, the former Ellen T. O'Bryan; sons the Rev. Robert E., Joseph E., Kenneth A. and Richard L. Ray; sisters Sallie Heavrin, Sister Elizabeth Ann Ray and Irene Whelan; a brother, Rhoda Ray; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, his church. Burial: church cemetery, Rhodelia. Visitation: Hager Funeral Home, Brandenburg, after 2 p.m. Friday. Memorial gifts: Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville or St. Jerome Catholic Church renovation fund.
