TILTON- Earl Gloddy 72, formerly of 314 East Main St died at the New Hampshire Veterans Home Sept 2,1992.
He was born in Hillsborogh, son of Wilfred and Bertha (Vigneault) Gloody.
He resided in the Franklin - Tilton area all his life except during World War II. Mr. Gloody served in the U.S. Army in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of operations.
Many years ago he was employed by the JP Stevens Co. He later worked for many years at Brenzner Tannery in Pennacook. He was a member and past commander of the Franklin VFW Post 1698.
The family includes his wife, Lucille (Mercier) Gloddy of Tilton; a son Roger A Gloddy of Colorado, Springs, Colo: three daughters, Ann Marie Ring of Rochester, Janet Karen Young of Northfield and Karen Sue Beaudin of Sanbornton: eight grandchildren; a sister, Virginia England of Franklin; a brother, Howard Gloody of Tilton; and several nieces and nephews.
