WILLIAM MATTINGLY DIES IN HOSPITAL - FUNERAL TO BE THURSDAY AT NEW MIDDLETOWN - William O. Mattingly, 61, of Bridgeport, died Monday evening at 6:30 at St. Edward's Hospital in New Albany, following an illness of heart trouble. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock at Most Precious Blood Church at New Middletown, conducted by the Rev. George Todd. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Mattingly; five sons and four daughters, Joe and John Mattingly of Corydon, Charles Mattingly of Louisville, Frank and Daniel Mattingly of Elizabeth, Mrs. Elnora Barker and Mrs. Beulah Houghlin of Cooksville, Mrs. Geraldine Houser and Mrs. Shirley Smith of New Albany. He also leaves two brothers and one sister, Henry Mattingly of Loretto, Ky, Oren (Owen) Mattingly of St. Francis, Ky., and Mrs. Carrie (Cassie) Knott of Louisville.
