Leroy Inman, 89, of Williams, passed away at 4:37 a.m. Sunday at the White River Lodge in Bedford.

Born April 1, 1920, in Williams, he was the son of Randall and Cleona (Mavity) Inman.

Leroy was a graduate of Williams High School with the class of 1939 and served as toast master for the alumni banquet. He was a longtime Williams farmer and a member of the Bloomfield Church of Christ. He was active in church work and officiated at numerous weddings and funerals.

Survivors include one sister, Loraine Schlieper; one niece, Martha Sheppard and her husband Bill, all of Pearl, Ill.; two great-nephews; and special friends, Mike and Karen Spreen.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Brother Rick Hudson and Brother Grant Riggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery.
