F. Robert "Bob" McPhilimy, 71, of Arvada, Colo., formerly of Blairsville, died Sunday, July 16, 2006, at his home. A son of Frank Simpson McPhilimy and Isabel Florence Cunningham McPhilimy, he was born Sept. 24, 1934, in Blairsville.

Mr. McPhilimy was a member of the Idledale Community Church in Colorado. He had worked as a millwright for a beer brewing company.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Marshall McPhilimy, Arvada, Colo.; a daughter, Cheryl Karaffa and husband Tom, Wheat Ridge Colo.; a son, Bryan Robert and wife DeeAnn, Arvada; five grandchildren; a brother, Dan, Baden; two sisters, Lorranie M. White, Indiana, and Florence Bothell and husband Donald, Creekside; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Graystone Presbyterian Church, Indiana, with Rev. Jeff Denlinger officiating.

Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery in Indiana.
