Funeral Services for Albert Ammann, 79, life long resident of Decatur and father of country treasurer, A.C. Ammann will be held at Moran's chapel with burial in Greenwood cemetery.
He was born in Decatur on March 14, 1864, a son of Conrad and Elizabeth Peyer Ammann. On Nov. 22, he married Katherine Kossiech who survives. Besides his wife he leaves two children, Arthur C and Mrs. Margaret K. Grohne, both of Decatur, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was a plain clothes officer in the city police department and also served the city as health inspector.
