Elmer Herman Droste is an American attorney, politician and farmer. The Drost was born in mount olive, Illinois, from which he graduated in High Mount olive school. In 1922 he graduated from the University of St. Louis. The Drost had been adopted in Illinois and Missouri bars. He was a farmer and a lawyer. The Drost served in the U.S. army during the First World war and the Second World War and was commissioned Colonel. The Drost served on the Board of the mount olive school. He served in the Illinois state Senate from 1941 to 1942 and was a Republican. He left the Illinois state Senate, when he again entered the United States army. Broste died at St. Marys hospital in Clayton, Missouri.
