Esther A. Westbrooks was born October 25, 1851 and departed this life November 24, 1916, aged 65 years and 29 days. She was married to Martin L. Lindamood, December 3, 1871, who died January 24, 1916. To this union were born six sons and two daughters, all living except one son, Harry, who died in the year 1896. She leaves to mourn her departure the following children, Carl, of Canton; George of Chandlersville; Glad and Mrs. Tena Williams, of Canal Dover; Winfield, Frank and Mrs. Lina Gray, of near Sycamore Valley; also thirteen grandchildren, five brothers and one sister and a host of other relatives and friends. She united with the Church of Christ at Creighton Ridge in the year 1866 and remained a faithful member to the end of her life. By her death, the children have lost a good mother, the church a good member and her friends a good neighbor. The funeral services were held at Creighton Ridge Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, H. W. Bankes officiating. Interment in Creighton Ridge Cemetery. –A Granddaughter
