Bosley Larimore moved with his wife, son, and daughters in a covered wagon to Johnson County, Texas in 1874 and then in 1878, the family moved to Young County. When the family moved to Young County, Bosley Larimore purchased land four miles north of the present town of Newcastle. He and his sons picked up bones off the prairie and hauled them by wagon to Wichita Falls to be used as fertilizer to help pay for the land. The purchase price of the land was $1.50.

Newcastle was saddened when it became known that Grandpa Larimore had passed. He had been in feeble health for some months, it was still a shock. Grandpa Larimore moved to Young County in the early days and was instrumental in the development of the County. Grandpa was a good man, a good father and he will be missed by his many friends.

Rev. R.J. LePrade of the Graham Methodist church officiated the services.

Bosley Larimore enlisted in the Civil War. He came to Texas in 1874.
